FIcontent contributes to the FIA meeting

FIcontent has significantly contributed to the 10th edition of the Future Internet Assembly held at the Waterford Institute of Technology in Dublin, Ireland, from May 8 to 10, 2013, under the aegis of the European Commission in association with the Irish presidency of the EU Council. The European Commission, in collaboration with EU Presidencies has, since 2008, hosted regular Future Internet Assembly events. FIA is a research community driven initiative supported by more than 150 research projects that have recognised the need to strengthen European activities on the Future Internet (FI) to maintain European competitiveness in the global marketplace. On behalf of the FIcontent partnership, Carmen Williams, head of Grassroots Arts and Research presented the achievements reached during FIcontent phase 1 and the perspectives of the project for its second phase (from April 2013 to March 2015). FIcontent participated in several sessions and workshops of this FIA event: the FI-PPP plenary session, the FI-WARE session, the “Get the users involved” workshop, and the “Smart cities get connected” workshop.
