Future Internet-driven Digital Business Innovation at FIA Athens (March 18-20, 2014)

Meet FIcontent and FI-PPP and FIA Athens

The 11th Future Internet Assembly will be held under the Greek Presidency of the European Union and co-organised by the European Commission from 18 to 20 March 2014 in Athens, Greece. It will focus on reshaping the Future Internet infrastructure for innovation. FIA is a research community driven initiative supported by more than 150 research projects that have recognised the need to strengthen European activities on the Future Internet (FI) to maintain European competitiveness in the global marketplace.

On Wednesday, March 20 from 09:00 to 12:00, FI content and other FI-PPP use case projects will organise a joint session on the theme “FI-driven Digital Business Innovation: The only limit is your imagination!”. This session will present the opportunities offered by FI-LAB and the FI-PPP ecosystem to interested stakeholders, will provide clear guidance on how to use the available infrastructures for innovation from diverse points of view and will discuss about relevant requirements towards demonstration and test-beds in Europe/globally in order to further enrich the current ecosystem. The session will bring together industrial experts from FI-LAB, experimentation infrastructures in Europe, and the different domains involved in the FI-PPP program (including manufacturing, energy, media– through FI content – agri-food and logistics, healthcare etc). They will offer preliminary lessons learned on how the full take-up of these technologies and new paradigms could inspire and set an alternative path towards new forms of business innovation ideation and adoption, new means to support and foster web entrepreneurship, new forms of participative social collaboration and new types of business relationships, realizing new forms of enterprises and new business ecosystems.
