Fraunhofer FOKUS participated in the 28th Medientage München and demonstrated the FIcontent “HbbTV Application Toolkit” (HAT) at their booth. HAT builds TV-related apps in a simple and flexible way, using the HbbTV standard which provides a powerful set of APIs for the creation of programme-related interactive TV applications. Users of this simple and flexible solution can engage with broadcast TV content by building tailored apps. The Hbb Application Toolkit addresses the needs of developers, editors and journalists, and received a very positive feedback from the booth visitors.
The exhibition, running parallel to conferences, covered the entire range of digital media: from private and public broadcasters to online and mobile media, production and media technologies, media expert press and media research. The exhibition features topics like apps, augmented reality, digital broadcasting, cloud services, CMS, connected TV, distribution, HbbTV, mobile media, OTT TV, payment solutions and social media as well as current information on media education and further training.
The 28th Medientage München took place from 22th to 24th October 2014 at the International Congress Centre Munich (ICM) next to the Messe München exhibition grounds. The media conference was initiated in 1987 to convey the perspectives of the young private broadcasting industry and the potentials of cable networks in Germany to an expert audience. Medientage München attracts experts in the fields of TV, radio, print, mobile communication, internet, multimedia, advertising as well as politicians and people working in the film industry.
