Within the FIcontent initiative, the i2CAT Foundation in collaboration with the Computer Graphics Lab at ETH, Disney Research Zurich, DFKI and the Barcelona Lab is organising a one-day hackathon to create Augmented Reality games on March 15, 2014 in Barcelona. The Augmented Reality Games – Barcelona Hackathon, brings together developers to use FIcontent platforms through multiple challenges towards the development of augmented reality applications. The participants have to develop their games based on one or a combination of the four challenges described on the hackathon website. At the end of the day, participants will have the opportunity to showcase their applications and compete for one of the three prizes. The event will also offer an Augmented Reality Gaming Zone where participants and general public will have the opportunity to play with Augmented Reality games developed by FIcontent partners.
The hackathon is open to anyone willing to participate and registration is free. The deadline for registration is the 13th of March 2014 at 17:00. Updates and further information can be found on the hackathon website or via #ARhackathonBCN.
