After months of intense development, Vision, Lancaster University’s IPTV platform was rolled out across the campus at the beginning of October. The system, which offers 50 live TV and radio channels together with 20,000+ on-demand programmes is available for use anywhere at the university. The launch was timed to combine with Freshers Week – something of a “rite-of-passage” when new students arrive for the first time to be bombarded by all sort of new experiences. Over 2000 leaflets were hand out to help recruit users for the experiment. The campaign continues with posters, social media, newsletters and articles and attracted already over 600 registered users!
