Advanced interactive EPG applications, programme accompanying games, knowledge discovery from social media feeds or novel programme concepts, there are a plenty of options for innovative developments in the Social connected TV area.
In order to enable such developments, the TV Hack Day brings together professional software developers, UX designers, producers, video journalists and concept developers from the TV domain to share ideas and experiences. In addition to that, participants are challenged by the opportunity to develop exciting TV hacks within less than 24 hours. The TV Hack Day website provides some impressions of last year’s event. It will be updated in the upcoming weeks to display the all the 2014 information.
This year’s TV Hack Day will take place on 20th and 21st of September in Berlin. It will be supported by the FIcontent consortium that will provide its Social Connected TV Platform via open and documented APIs to all participants. The APIs ease adding functionalities in the area of Multi-Screen Experience, Rich Content, Personalised Media and Content Search & Discovery to TV apps. Provision of the Social Connected TV Platform technologies will be facilitated by the FI-Ware cloud infrastructure.
Save the date and stay tuned! Subscribe to the FIcontent newsletter or follow TV Hack Day’s twitter feed to get the latest information.
