Social Connected TV is subject to joint academic teaching

Social Connected TV

The summer semester 2014 is in full swing and so is FIcontent when it comes to contributing to academic teaching: jointly planned and executed by Judith Ackermann of Siegen University and Michael Eble of Fraunhofer IAIS, a full seminar on Social connected TV aims at enabling students in media and communication research to analyse and to assess innovative TV formats. In collaboration with Yehia El Khatib of Lancaster University and Christoph Ziegler of Institut für Rundfunktechnik (IRT), 20 students learn about challenges faced in the Social TV domain and results achieved by FIcontent. On the technological side, approaches and implementations for Multi-Screen Experiences and Rich Content are being examined. The seminar participants also test and discuss Specific Enablers.
