Dissemination of innovative content technologies and their adoption by users is important for building new multimedia formats and applications. Hence, bringing new technologies into view is an essential activity in research and development. To do this, FIcontent engages in various events across Europe – both scientific and practical.
In this context, FIcontent partners Fraunhofer FOKUS and Fraunhofer IAIS will transfer knowledge of Specific Enablers for Social Connected TV to media practitioners. Specific Enablers are content-centric software components built for developing new media applications. Both institutes will actively contribute to the “Linked Film & TV Workshops” organized by transfermedia.
- Fraunhofer IAIS will hold a full-day workshop on linked media applications. The workshop takes place on 3rd of September 2014 and addresses the Audio Mining, Audio Fingerprinting and Content Optimisation SEs.
- Fraunhofer FOKUS will hold a full-day workshop on recommendation technologies and multiscreen applications. This workshop will take place on 4th of November 2014 and addresses Content Enrichment, Recommendation as a Service and HbbTV Application Toolkit SEs.
The workshops will be held in Germany’s media hotspot Potsdam-Babelsberg. Target groups are creative producers, cross media managers, editorial staff and developers of transmedia concepts and applications. Participants can register via the workshop’s web site.
